Introducing Kelbourne Woolens Germantown

2018 marks the ten year anniversary of Kelbourne Woolens and we are celebrating this milestone with something we have been dreaming about for a long, long time: Our own line of quality, affordable, classic yarns. We are proud to announce the fourth and final yarn celebrating our ten year anniversary: Germantown. An icon of American craft, Germantown was originally developed in Philadelphia in the early 1800s. The name Germantown is synonymous with a good quality worsted yarn and we are delighted to be able to reintroduce this U.S. sourced and spun classic to the market. A labor of love and research over many years, inspiration for the initial 18 colors came directly from Germantown's long history as America's first yarn. We worked hard to reproduce it as 100% U.S. sourced and manufactured and are incredibly proud to be able to bring this yarn back to the market after so long!

The Germantown Collection

The building blocks of knitting. We're going back to basics with the introductory designs for the Germantown Collection. With a focus on accessories, the collection will be the perfect resource for shops faced with beginner knitters wondering "What's next??" Each design - think classic hats, mittens, and scarves - will have multiple versions and options, giving the knitter choices in what skills they want to use and learn. We’ll share individual skein and color info, and more about the designs - including all of the extra features in the patterns - next week!
