December marks the two year anniversary of the release of Andorra, so we wanted to take some time out this month to share a little love for our first Kelbourne Woolens yarn! First up, some highlights from Instagram.
Showing off Andorra’s gorgeous stitch definition when worked in knit purl patterning, Kristi knit her Fragment Scarf out of holly red, and Leah designed the Grayson scarf using kelly green. (Both knitters also happen to be local to Philly as well!)
For the wee babes, the folks at Fancy Tiger knit the Animal Bonnet by Jenny Gordy in salmon pink, and Esther Joy knit a Framboise by Lisa Chemery of sunshine yellow. (And while you’re perusing Esther Joy’s feed, take a look at these insanely adorable characters from The Mitten (the pattern is available here).
Shops really enjoy showing off the beautiful array of Andorra colors, and we can see why! Loop has a way with stacking yarn in their signature bowl, and Cast Away made this delightful rainbow!
You know we’re huge fans of colorwork here at KW, and these two mittens are no exception. Melanie knit these lovely Shine Mittens by Sofia Kammeborn in sunshine yellow and snow white, and Sissel knit a pair of Petra Snöboll by Anna Bergman out of ink black and cloud gray.
And, last but not least, sweaters! (And some PetiteKnit love!) Reykjavík based shop, MeMe Kntting, was working up a gorgeous Cumulus Blouse by PetiteKnit in Andorra in snow white, and our bud, Linette, knit a Novice Sweater in Andorra in sunshine yellow and Navia Alpakka in white.
There were SO many amazing photos to choose from, so make sure you check out the #KWAndorra and #kelbournewoolens tags to see them all!
