It’s spring in the northern hemisphere, and generally that means saying goodbye to sweater weather, regardless if we’re ready for it or not. My personal stock of knitwear consists of simple, everyday knits that are easy to make and wear, and I always miss my comfortable staples during the warmer months. What I need is the perfect, lightweight sweater that mimics my thicker woolies for the spring, chilly summer nights, and early fall.
The solution: BC Garn Bio Balance, a GOTS- certified 55% organic wool / 45% organic cotton blend and Regina Moessmer’s JANI.
When it comes to simple staple sweaters made in beautiful yarn this combo checks all the boxes for me. This sweater is worked from the top down and in the round, meaning it is the ideal podcast, commuting, TV watching, pub hang out sweater.
The only problem I’m having is selecting a color. Regina’s sample is shown in black, which is my favorite non-color, but I’m debating over Lead for a slight variation from my usual color, or take a giant leap and go for the lovely Marsh.
What do you all think? I can’t decide.
